Look up at the roof of 26 Place de la République in Mamers to find a 1:100 replica. The local tourism office dates it to 1889 and recounts a friend’s suggestion to decorate the Hôtel du Cygne’s rooftop terrace with the tower. Officers of the 115th Infantry Regiment once gathered on that terrace. Today it is a small heritage feature visible during a walk through the town.
